Huntington Home “I'm Yours” Candle Review                                                                                 Aldi                                                                             Sale $2.99 There were no scent notes listed but I could detect amber and or tonka bean, cinnamon, and some sort of red berry, maybe a raspberry or boysenberry. I liked this candle though and would think about buying it again if it was released again. I’m not sure why the label started to peel but that wouldn’t stop me from continuing to try these. I really think these are a great value with lo...

Cinnamon Latte Candle Review (ALDI)

Image
Cinnamon Latte On sale for $3 ALDI This one is a slow burner but worth the wait. The cinnamon isn't as sweet as you may assume. It's a bolder smell with notes of coffee.  A lighter roast but I still enjoy it. About a medium throw but it fills the space. A neutral enough option. 3 out of 5 candlelights

BHG Caramel and Cayenne Review

Image
BHG Caramel and Cayenne Review on sale for $6 online from Walmart  scent notes: caramel, molasses, cayenne, clove, almond cream, vanilla bean                       I have no idea why this candle hasn't been talked about (unless the reason is that the regular price was like $12 plus??) more often. The cayenne is such a unique note that I haven't come across yet. A great alternative to pumpkin spice. I would absolutely buy this again. The more prominent notes are caramel, cayenne, and vanilla.                                                              4.5 out of 5 candlelights

TTCT Quick Review- Hunting Home Orange Chocolate Candle

Image
Hunting Home Orange Chocolate Candle Price Unknown The chocolate notes were more semi-sweet than super dry or super sweet. You notice it though. It fills the room decently well. I really wanted more orange scent though. I enjoyed this candle a great bit though. I got this at Aldi so it wasn’t more than six dollars if that. I appreciate that they don’t shy away from chocolate scents. I would buy more for any season. Especially dark chocolate. It can be good for the body so why not the scent for the mind?   4 out of 5 candlelights

Target Pineapple Palm Review

Image
Target Pineapple Palm Candle Price Unknown I remember buying this last summer and now just getting to this. I really hope they bring this back. An excellent pineapple candle. It is exactly like the pina colada Slurpee from 7-11 in a candle form. A strong throw until the candle was done. This is a candle I’d buy on repeat. This is their value line so maybe $5 for this larger size.   Rating: 4.8 out of 5 candlelights

Yankee Candle Clearance Picks

Image
Yankee Candle Clearance Picks   Yankee can be a bit pricey, however, I love a deal and will spend time looking. These are my top 3 picks   Freshly Tapped Maple $15.50 Fragrance Notes: Top: Sweet Orange Zest, Whipped Milk, Turbinado Sugar Mid: Bourbon Maple Sugar, Coconut Cream, Sugared Cinnamon Base: Salted Caramel, Vanilla Bean, Sugared Praline   I don’t think I’d be able to notice a difference in the notes of sugar but every single note is something I enjoy. Maple is also not a profile I see often but I would like to try it. Nothing seems super seasonal about it but glad it's on sale. Shop   Twinkling Lights $15.50 Fragrance Notes: Top: Almond, Peach Mid: Milk, Jasmine, Frangipani Base: Fir Balsam, Vanilla   This would be a slight wild card for me because of two of the ingredients I have never heard of and am not sure how to pronounce either. I do enjoy almond, vanilla, and peach so that’s enough for me to take a r...

I have heard very good things about the candles at Kohls. It is on my to-do list to check them out in the somewhat near future. Triple Pour Candle Jar Sale: $11.99 Scent Notes: Mango Nectar, Blood Orange, Fresh Lime Juice   Fan of all these as fruit and scents. There are not enough lime-based candles. Key Lime Pie is my favorite pie and I would appreciate the scent in a candle. If you have recommendations, please let your girl know. More pie candles in general. It’s nice to see lime in other scents besides coconut. Shop ...

TTCT Reviews-Debi Lilly Grapefruit and Ginger Pillar candle

Image
TTCT Reviews-Debi Lilly Grapefruit and Ginger Pillar candle Price Unknown I received this large candle for Christmas. I have never had a candle without a jar before. I have no idea where this came from but people are selling this brand on Poshmark. Grapefruit usually isn’t a go-to but I really enjoyed the stronger notes of it. Certainly, I will be more open to stronger citrus notes in the future. Usually, I go for that profile for cleaning products but that can change. Didn’t notice much ginger or any other note. Once the candle started to lose its shape, I burned the rest of it in a wax warmer where it performed okay. Once there was less than half of it left, the throw of the candle was much softer. My personal preference for candles is super strong profiles. I want to leave a room and come back and be strongly confronted by a scent or aroma. The burn time was pretty accurate. I’m not sure how I feel about candles not being in a holder already but I don’t regret having them in my ...

Introduction

Image
Welcome to my candle blog! I already have a food blog (insert link), but decided I wanted a space to talk about candles. Besides the look of them, having scents around that I enjoy greatly benefits my physical and mental health. I love the effect a candle flame gives off in a room. I enjoy it when the packaging is extra decorative. The smell is the best part. I am partial to gourmand scents, really anything you could eat or drink. I absolutely do not do peppermint scents. That is my personal boundary line. It is far too pungent for me. Besides candles, I also buy wax melts and plug-ins. This will be a space with reviews, wishlists/shopping guides.
