Maple and Sugar Drizzle Review

Image
Another scent I think would be nice all year round. The boyfriend thought I was making pancakes when he walked in. It is a typical sweet scent with more maple/brown sugar/ vanilla notes. I would repurchase it if it comes back. I would appreciate this in a larger candle format as well.  4 out of 5 candlelights

BHG Berry Cheesecake Wax Melt Review

Image
Sale Price: $2.00 at Walmart This was very light. If you buy Febreze light, this is the wax melt for you. A great scent but the cheesecake scent takes over the berries. A very subtle, lightly sweet scent. 3.5 out of 5 candlelights

BHG Warm Leather and Amber Wax Melts

Image
An entry to more "boy smells" If you want to dip your toe into " man smells/man scents/boyfriend candle vibes" may I recommend this cheaper option? Heavy on the amber, vanilla bean, and mahogany notes. It's not quite fully "masculine" but heavier notes than I typically go for. I prefer WoodWicks humidor but I wouldn't be mad if someone picked this up again. A good unisex or gender-neutral option. Or if you just think these notes might be something you're into.  3.5 out of 5 candelights

BHG Pear and Vanilla Bean Review

Image
A must have  One of my favorite melts I bought in 2022. Every note was well-represented and diverse. It is so warm and sweet. It almost smells like real pear and vanilla baking somewhere. I would buy this all year round. Pear scents are woefully under used in the home fragrance world.  4.5 out of 5 candlelights

BHG Caramel Bread Pudding Wax Melts Review

Image
BHG Caramel Bread Pudding Wax Melts Sale $2 at Walmart   A powerful throw which is my favorite. The caramel, bread, butter, and vanilla are the most noticeable. It was such a warm cozy vibe that I really enjoyed. Also, my boyfriend loved this which is always a plus. He thought it was similar to dessert pancakes. I can see kids enjoying this as well. A great transitional scent.   5 out of 5 candlelights

BHG Caramel and Cayenne Review

Image
BHG Caramel and Cayenne Review on sale for $6 online from Walmart  scent notes: caramel, molasses, cayenne, clove, almond cream, vanilla bean                       I have no idea why this candle hasn't been talked about (unless the reason is that the regular price was like $12 plus??) more often. The cayenne is such a unique note that I haven't come across yet. A great alternative to pumpkin spice. I would absolutely buy this again. The more prominent notes are caramel, cayenne, and vanilla.                                                              4.5 out of 5 candlelights

BHG Crisp Fall Leaves Review

Image
BHG Crisp Fall Leaves Price Unknown Walmart My boyfriend bought this one, he is obsessed with nature notes. This was a good compromise because he got to smell trees and leaves, and I got sweet fruity notes. I personally am very hit or miss with tree scents. I personally wouldn't buy this one but if he picked it up I wouldn't be mad. 3.5 out of 5 candlelights

BHG Orange and Cinnamon Rolls Review

Image
BHG Orange and  Cinnamon Rolls Review $2.00 on sale at Walmart   A holiday morning smell in wax melts. This is what you imagine every happy holiday household to smell like in the morning. It’s very sweet and warm but the orange compliments the warm notes very well. This is the second time I’ve bought these and I will keep buying them if there isn’t something new to try. I would love for this brand to do more with their pancake batter notes.   5 out of 5 candlelights

Quick Review- Better Homes and Gardens Blackberry Sangria Wax Melt

Image
Better Homes and Gardens Blackberry Sangria Wax Melt Review $4.87 Walmart   A pricier set of melts but I would buy again/ try other scents. There are at least 10 pieces of wax and decently sized. Sweet but not overwhelming. Strong notes of blackberry, some blueberry notes as well. I would order this drink in real life. The shapes of the wax are very cute and I would like to see more of that.   4 out of 5 candlelights

BHG Plug In Review Sugared Lavender Twist

Image
Better Home and Gardens Sugared Lavender Twist Fragrance Oil/Plug-in Review $3.37 at Walmart   I need alternatives to the bath and body works ones sometimes. I do really like those but not at 5 for $35. I only buy those on sale for $3.50 or less these days. They’re a little too inconsistent throw-wise to pay full price. This one lasted for about eight weeks! As for the scent, for the most part, is accurate to the name. A sweet lavender with light citrus, maybe some berry notes in there. I really enjoyed the scent and would get it again. I recently discovered this is also in a wax melt form.   4.7 out of 5 candlelights

TTCT Quick Review- Red Lava and Citrus Fragrance oil Refill

Image
BHG Red Lava Citrus Refill $3.37 Walmart   Love the scent but the throw was weak. This is a bathroom/maybe a closet plug-in. It is just so weak I was super bummed out. I want to try the candle, perhaps that would be a stronger throw. I’m really into citrus scents currently, especially grapefruit. If you have any grapefruit home scent recommendations send me a message or comment!   2.5 out of 5 candlelights

TTCT Reviews- Better Homes and Gardens Orange Buttercream & Cupcake

Image
Better Homes and Gardens Orange Buttercream & Cupcake $2.00 on sale at Walmart Scent Notes- orange zest, vanilla, buttercream   Heavy on the buttercream! Very similar to marshmallow crispies melt. Extremely strong throw, you can use this in any room and you will notice it. Even if you let it cool and leave the house, you will come back and smell this melt. I really wish this had more citrus to balance the buttercream and vanilla. I have heard that some customers found it to give them a headache. I didn’t have these issues but I prefer the other melt previously mentioned.   4 out of 5 candlelights

TTCT Reviews: Better Homes and Gardens Over The Rainbow Wax Melts

Image
TTCT Reviews: Better Homes and Gardens Over The Rainbow Wax Melts $2.00 on sale at Walmart   A lighter throw than I would have preferred. This one shined in the bathroom the most. It smells like diet Koolaid , tropical punch flavor. I wouldn’t buy these again, too many scents to try from this brand. Not an awful scent by any means I just love a strong throw. I’m one of those people who really benefit from scents that I enjoy.   3 out of 5 candlelights

TTCT Reviews- Better Home and Gardens Sugared Lavender Twist Fragrance Oil Refill

Better Home and Gardens Sugared Lavender Twist Fragrance Oil/ Plugin Review $3.37 at Walmart   I decided to try these for an alternative to the bath and body works ones. I do really like those but not at 5 for $35. I only buy those on sale for $3.50 or less these days. They’re a little too inconsistent throw wise to pay full price. This one has lasted for about eight weeks! As for the scent, for the most part is accurate to the name. A sweet lavender with light citrus, maybe some berry notes in there. Better Homes and Gardens Soft Cashmere and Amber Wax Melts Review

Image
Better Homes and Gardens Soft Cashmere and Amber Wax Melts $2.00 Scent Notes: Bergamot, Amber, Citrus, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Peppercorn, Cassis, and Moss What I noticed: Bergamot? Amber, Citrus, Peppercorn   Bergamot is a newer note to me but I think it was there? It was soothing in a floral way. Like if a man brought me flowers and it smelled like this I’d be into it. Amber is becoming a nice alternative from the drenched in sugar or fruit scents I usually go for. Still had a sweet scent but it was warm and soothing. The peppercorn was interesting. Got a grapefruit citrus vibe. To be honest I have no idea what cassis and moss are supposed to smell like. I enjoyed these though. Definitely will look for more things with an amber note.   Rating: 3.5 candlelights

Walmart Candle Wishlist March 2022

Image
Walmart Candle Wishlist I have had decent luck with candles at Walmart. The mainstays line can be hit or miss, but the smaller sizes usually perform better. To my recent knowledge, there are other brands I would like to try as well.   Aeropostale Blushing 3 Wick Candle Soy Wax Blend 14.5 Oz $8.44 Y'all, I had no idea they made candles? I haven’t shopped there in years. I’m tempted to search what else they sell, but I don’t need even more ads harassing me. The fragrance notes are passionfruit, amber (a new recent discovery of mine that I enjoy), pineapple, rose, and orange blossom. This is an in-store-only item, but you can probably order it to pick up so you don’t have to hunt for it. Shop   Better Homes & Gardens Cranberry & Molasses 14.8oz Scented 2-wick Candle with Farmhouse Lid – Gather $6.94 Even if the candle is trash, the jar is very cute and I would use it for something else. I somewhat enjoy the farmhouse aesthetic so I might just buy t...

TCTT Reviews- Better Homes and Gardens Lavender and White Amber Candle

Image
Better Homes and Gardens Lavender and White Amber Candle $7.99 at Macy’s Backstage   Scent Notes: lavender, jasmine, bergamot, white amber, blonde woods, powdered musk.   Notes I can detect: lavender, jasmine, powdered musk.   This is my first candle from this brand, I’m moderately impressed. I haven’t reached the point that I’m buying repeats of candles but I'm enjoying this one. It is somewhat calming, but I bet I can find it better. Jasmine is kind of like chamomile, I like it though. I would definitely buy a straight-up chamomile or jasmine candle though and would appreciate recommendations. It fills most of the living room up. Probably would be better in a bedroom or bathroom. A simple design but I enjoy the frosted glass look. I like to reuse candle jars. I plan to put hair stuff in this one if possible. No problems with lighting the candle, it burns very evenly.   3 out of 5 candle lights
