Talk That Candle Talk

  Warm Cottage limited edition 2022 $1.00 Black Friday Sale One of the better selections from the sale! This doesn't fall super sweet or super masculine. It's a lovely neutral seasonal scent. I noticed some wood notes with amber and vanilla. It was a nice break from the typical fall and winter candy type of scent. 3.5 out of 5 candle lights 

                                                          Price Unknown received as a gift I really like the idea of this candle, but it wasn't strong enough for me. I do think the single-wick versions project a lot less scent. I need a candle of this quality to fill the room. I am open to trying this in the melts or maybe as a plug-in. 3.5 out of 5 candle lights 

 Opalhouse Cocoa Vanilla Meringue                                                                                 $10 I really can not decide if I will buy this line again. They can be so hit or miss or will take a long time for the scent to start filling the room. A definite slow burner. Not sure if it's worth the wait. Might be best for a bathroom scent. Although if you like quieter scents, you’d like this. The smell is nice but it just really takes some time to. A light cocoa scent, heavy on the meringue. This brand needs to be on sale for me to try again. Rating 3.5 out of 5 candle lights

 A must have  One of my favorite melts I bought in 2022. Every note was well-represented and diverse. It is so warm and sweet. It almost smells like real pear and vanilla baking somewhere. I would buy this all year round. Pear scents are woefully under used in the home fragrance world.  4.5 out of 5 candlelights 

  BHG Caramel Bread Pudding Wax Melts Sale $2 at Walmart   A powerful throw which is my favorite. The caramel, bread, butter, and vanilla are the most noticeable. It was such a warm cozy vibe that I really enjoyed. Also, my boyfriend loved this which is always a plus. He thought it was similar to dessert pancakes. I can see kids enjoying this as well. A great transitional scent.   5 out of 5 candlelights  

  BHG Caramel and Cayenne Review on sale for $6 online from Walmart  scent notes: caramel, molasses, cayenne, clove, almond cream, vanilla bean                       I have no idea why this candle hasn't been talked about (unless the reason is that the regular price was like $12 plus??) more often. The cayenne is such a unique note that I haven't come across yet. A great alternative to pumpkin spice. I would absolutely buy this again. The more prominent notes are caramel, cayenne, and vanilla.                                                              4.5 out of 5 candlelights

 BHG Crisp Fall Leaves Price Unknown Walmart My boyfriend bought this one, he is obsessed with nature notes. This was a good compromise because he got to smell trees and leaves, and I got sweet fruity notes. I personally am very hit or miss with tree scents. I personally wouldn't buy this one but if he picked it up I wouldn't be mad. 3.5 out of 5 candlelights

 Bath and Body Works Wicked Apple Plug Wallflower Plug in Price Unknown Quick Review- I really enjoyed this plug-in. Definitely sweet but I’m really into that. It smells just like a hot cider from Starbucks. It has the apple, caramel, sugar, and cream notes you would expect from this plug-in. It really made the room feel warm. It is a sweet cozy scent. Towards the end, it wasn’t as noticeable but I’d think about buying it again.   Rating 4.5 out of 5 candlelights

 Mainstays Salted Caramel Butterscotch $1.10 Walmart   To me, this smelt like blondies with extra butterscotch. My boyfriend thought it was pancakes with syrup. Either way, this was a powerful and sweet smell that I enjoyed greatly. It fills the room with the smell of sweet pastries baking in the oven. If you leave the room and come back, it will still have the scent lingering even when not being melted. One of Mainstay's more substantial releases lately.   4.5 out of 5 candlelights 

Better Homes and Gardens Orange Buttercream & Cupcake $2.00 on sale at Walmart Scent Notes- orange zest, vanilla, buttercream   Heavy on the buttercream! Very similar to marshmallow crispies melt. Extremely strong throw, you can use this in any room and you will notice it. Even if you let it cool and leave the house, you will come back and smell this melt. I really wish this had more citrus to balance the buttercream and vanilla. I have heard that some customers found it to give them a headache. I didn’t have these issues but I prefer the other melt previously mentioned.   4 out of 5 candlelights 

 Sonoma Home Holiday Cookie Wax Melts $1.74 Sweet Vanilla, Cookie Dough, Buttercream   If Pillsbury decided to sell home fragrances based on their desserts, this wax melt would perfectly represent their brand. It really smelled like those sugar cookies with the seasonal prints. I really enjoyed this melt. A strong throw really fills the room. I would purchase again and try more scents from this brand.   4.5 out of 5 candlelights 

  Better Homes and Gardens Lavender Lemonade Wax Melt  Price ~$2.00 at Walmart Scent Notes- Lemon Sugar, Pineapple Water, Lavender Melon and Vanilla Scent This smells like a summer drink you would get served at a luxury beachfront spa. The lemon note is subtle, not sour. It does smell like the name says it does. Didn’t notice too much pineapple but I guess that’s why they said “pineapple water” A sweeter lavender scent but is not intense. I would think about getting this one again.   3.9 out of 5 candle lights

  Blueberry Crumble Candle Review $4 at Target   Slow to fill the room but it will after a few hours. I wanted more blueberry. This was more mixed berries on cinnamon toast. French toast with berry syrup is a much better description in my opinion. Not bad though I enjoyed the few days I had it. More of a fall vibe over a blueberry one. 3 out of 5 candlelights

Goose Creek Wax Melt Wishlist Goose Creek is the number one brand on my list to try. Today I want to go over a few melts I would pick up in order.   Ciderhouse Donut Wax Melt Sale Price: $3 Notes: Fried Donut, Warm Cider, Apple, Sugar & Vanilla Doughnuts are one of my favorite treats, especially fried ones. I would like to eat this donut and have this smell in my apartment as well. I’m surprised they’re not more donut scent options out there.  Yankee Candle Clearance Picks   Yankee can be a bit pricey, however, I love a deal and will spend time looking. These are my top 3 picks   Freshly Tapped Maple $15.50 Fragrance Notes: Top: Sweet Orange Zest, Whipped Milk, Turbinado Sugar Mid: Bourbon Maple Sugar, Coconut Cream, Sugared Cinnamon Base: Salted Caramel, Vanilla Bean, Sugared Praline   I don’t think I’d be able to notice a difference in the notes of sugar but every single note is something I enjoy.
